Company Profile: A nonpartisan, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Pacific Northwest/Puget Sound naval installations.
Objective: The initial identity needed to gain greater recognition and respect, ensuring that the organization receives credit for all its actions and activities. The goal of the brochure and accompanying web site reinforce the importance of PSNBA in the community.
Design & Color Theory: Blending classic and contemporary elements, the mark suggests a company that is traditional and yet forward-looking. The final logo, a seal, is similar to seals for the different branches of the military. An anchor sits between a "P" and "S" standing for the naval community in the Puget Sound area. The name is then set on the outside of the inner circle and a rope border, traditionally representative of naval ships, communicates a sense of prestige and trustworthiness.
The wave across the brochure and web site add a suggestion of water and continuous flow; shades of blue integrate nicely with the silver. Powerful military imagery was used for an effective design. |
