Company Profile: Specializing in fine home building and remodeling.

Objective: After years of trying to refine their existing logo, Joe Gates found their image disjointed and decided to solve their identity crisis, a completely new identity was needed. Wanting to be widely recognized for their fine home building and remodeling, the client was wanting an image that would reflect the craftsmanship of their custom homes.

Slogan:Because their name didn't specify the construction services they offered, a descriptive tagline needed to accompany the logo. "Distinctive custom homes and remodeling" better identifies the quality construction services Joe Gates provides.

Design & Color Theory: After 15 years, a builder of custom homes, decided it was time for a logo redesign and updated color scheme. Their previous color scheme of purple and teal, were dated as was the former rounded script logo text. We decided on a more stylistic logo, a brush stroke roof-line and signature style logo text. The signature style text gave the company a more exclusive look. The light sage and dark green were selected to bring in a subtle aspect the Pacific Northwest. The unique paper the identity was printed on has a nice texture to it, giving the pieces a tactile, handcrafted quality.
